Environmentally-Friendly Public Transit ? From the Lincoln Park/Lakeview “Green Zone”: Red Line to Fullerton, hoof it a couple blocks East to Halsted/Lincoln/Fullerton, Southeast on Lincoln two blocks to da bar. From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Blue Line to California, Fullerton #74 bus East to Halsted/Lincoln/Fullerton, Southeast on Lincoln two blocks to da bar.. Driving ? Hop into your hooptie and cruise to Lincoln/Belden/Orchard. Parking pretty much sucks in this corridor as the side streets are all Zone 143 permit. You might get lucky with a meter on Lincoln or open parking by Oz Park one block further Southeast.

The big discussion items will refer to our Budget, the Memorial Day and 1600 Hash, Our Hash Calendar, POP,and WE NEED TO DISCUSS A NEW SHIRT and A NEW CH3 LOGO!!!

Happy Ass Grabber and I have been discussing the issue of a Chicago Area Hash dry-fit tank/t-shirt. Dry-fit shirts are more expensive than boring old cotton, which means a greater initial cost. CH3 and TH3 are inviting all area Hashes to include themselves on this shirt. We want this to have a simple design which easily and clearly identifies CHICAGO. After we decide on a simple design, we’ll add whatever Chicago Hash logo that would like to be represented, provided of course they help subsidize the cost.

The meeting agenda can be found on the CH3 Yahoo groups site, or I will forward you a copy if you have trouble finding it. Just ask.

GM REPORT-

Currently we are entering into our busy season of hashing. We just finished Polish Constitution Day hash and had close to 40 hashers show with 5 virgins present. Main goal will be to retain these virgins that do show up and get them to return in the future.

A. Budget

1. Verify funds we have $623 in hash cash.
2. Hash Tax is $1 per hasher per hash put into hash cash for future events, haberdashery, etc.
3. Turn over $1000 for GM in 2010
4. Collected $42 so far this year in haberdashery.
5. No hash tax has been collected since December maybe why hash cash is low.
6. We need new haberdashery
7. We are set with lanyards and whistles for at least one year.
B. Memorial Day and 1600 Hash May 24, 2009
1. 55 Hashers have signed up
2. Cost is currently $18 per hasher
3. This hash is on Sunday not on Monday
C. Calendar
1. We are now running every Monday night at 7 pm out at 7:30 pm
2. May 24, 2009 will be hash #1600 and the Memorial Day Hash on Saturday at Virgin Bangers and Renta Virgins.
3. POP- is July 18th Weekend
4. CH3 Saturday Hashes May 30th (German Fest Lincoln Sq, June 27th (Wall Bangher casa), July 25th (Ruji’s Foofdeck Lincoln St. Fest, August 29th Greek town Fest, September 26th (casa de Wall Bangher)-These hashes last year we tied into Chicago street festivals. Many allow you to bring in your own beer and you could have circle outside!!

5. We are behind budget in hash tax but I think we can manage without those funds

B. 1500 Hash –Quick notes
1. 103 signed-up with 2 no shows= 101 hashers highest event total ever in Chicago by
beating out the 1469/Anthrax Hash.
2. All Chicago hash items like flag, robes, pipe, etc present and accounted for. All
positive comments so far!!
3. Visitors liked the Arlington House- Cheap and convenient.
4. Hash paid for the beerstops $257 not fair to make hares pay for beer stop kegs.
5. 1500 budget paid for Food on hangover hash.
6. Still have plenty of 1500 t-shirts to cover these costs. Should make $100 on the
event for the hash.
7. The Pub Crawl made $700+ for the CPD Memorial Fund.

C. Calendar
1. AUGUST 10, 2007 Free Drinking Practice at DUFFY’s 6:30-8:30 pm say “CHICKEN” at
the door.
2. Labor Day Hash will be SUNDAY 9/2/07 on ITS TOO SOFT roof deck.

5. Due to the Calendar the First SUNDAY hash of winter season is on September 30th
otherwise there would be no hash for 13 days.

Chicago HHH Mismanagement Meeting

Venue: Fuji’s Party Central – 933 W. Wolfram #3 RIGHT NEXT TO the Diversey Brown Line stop. Note the friggin buzzer still doesn’t work so just come up the back stairs as usual.

The Mismanagement meeting will start at Noon at It’s too Soft’s “Party Central” @ 933 W. Wolfram, #3. I invite all to attend to talk mainly about the plans for next year’s #1500 hash.

The BEARS will be on playing the JETS in Hi Definition but Lo sound so we can conduct business. I will place the agenda and current budget in the this groups files so you can look at them before the meeting. The Sunday hash this day is at Friar Tucks which is 4 blocks away so we can walk down to it together after the meeting. We may ask for a few $$ to get some beer for this meeting and Bears viewing

Venue: It’s Too Soft’s Rooftop Skydeck at the New Party Central – 933 W. Wolfram

(1 blk North of Diversey and 1/4 block East of Sheffield, by the Diversey Brown Line stop and Cherry Red).

Note the city tickets residential zone 383 aggressively so stay off the side streets and park in metered spots (check for Sunday open status) on Diversey or Sheffield. Please come up the stairs in the back of the building to the roof.

Fuji is allowing us to use his roof deck for the meeting. We can cook out and drink some. Those who wish to eat and drink can throw in a few dollars.
