2/18/07 CHINESE NEW YEAR HASH TRASH for #1478

Hares: BALLSALOTAPUS, VIRTUALLY HUNG, JUST DO ME SLOWLY and CUMS IN MY ASSFAULT

Virgins: JUST FAITH, JUST NICK, JUST YOUNG HI, JUST ELKE, JUST LEVI

Visitors: Sin City Hash- THE UNALICKER, Y=PI, and FLUFFER

Madison Hash- RETURN TO GENDER and FROGGY STYLE

Locals: LIFA, IT’S TOO SOFT, CHICKEN STIFFER, VIRGIN BANGER, BLUE BALLS, MUDSUCKER, CHIP-N-DALE, SOUR BALLS, ORG-E, JUST TIM, ASSPOCKET, 69-CENT MAN, FLYING HOOTERS, JUST LOU, BACK DOOR BIZZLE, ERECT DA RED, JUST ANGELLE, HORN-E, JUST PATTY, RABBIT TURD, MONKEY TURD, MAGNETIC MUFF, BONER MALFUNCTION, GOOD SWALLOW, SMELL THIS, and PUSSY GALORE

The Chinese New Year Hash was a perfect example of what hares can do if they put their minds to it. The hares need to be commended for a hash well done and for over coming the main obstacle that Tito’s, the bar, had no kegs in it. The hash started early for many because we showed up at Noon and had a few beers before we went down to see the parade. The Unalicker, Y=PI, Froggy Style, Return to Gender, Chicken Stiffer, Its too Soft, Lifa, and Fluffer went down Wentworth and found a Sunny spot on the parade route to observe the festival. Most of us even got our own coolie hats that can be seen in numerous pictures taken by the resident photog Its too Soft. The visiting women whined that they were cold and hungry so we found some egg rolls to stuff down their throats but now they whined that they had no BEER! The parade lasted about 1/2 hour and we returned to Tito’s to meet the rest of the hash and have more nectar of the gods.

The crowd began to swell much like Froggy’s head would by the end of the night and we even got two visitors/virgins, Just Elke and Just Levi to join us from Milwaukee, thanks for stopping by. The bar was decorated in red lights and Chinese ornaments but most hashers liked the sight of the big fat beer Buddha ready to greet them at the end of the run. 2:30 pm came and Virtually Hung commenced a chalk talk. His words said, “DO NOT RANGE THIS TRAIL OR YOU WILL MISS THE BEER STOP!!” remember this for later. We went around the circle with our names and soon we were off. Lifa carrying the hash flag led the pack south and then west but Soar Balls and Chip-n-Dale followed him closely. They found the first check that had us chasing our pig tails we were wearing on our asses for the year of the pig. Org-e caught more of the trail going west and we were back on-on. Soar Balls and I ranged a little and we caught the next circle jerk but the pack didn’t follow us but followed
Org-e, Just Patty and several others. I soon was lost on trail with Y=PI but can you blame me?

The pack came together just over the expressway near 20th but was thrown off by our esteemed visitor, Sergeant of Arms, The Unalicker who called on-on after two marks? Didn’t we tell her three was on and its four at her hash after a check so why the call?? We found trail again after Just Tim and Asspocket went west and found the trail paralleled the railroad tracks and went to a raised bridge. Here the marks seemed wipeout by the foot traffic from the Parade. Virtually Hung actual was laying marks, as we went which is why you should not have ranged. Good Swallow found trail going east back towards China Town and the pack hit the BN mark. Ballsalotapus greeted us with Chinese beer and water out of the back of the Lincoln, but we seemed to be missing one hasher, Where was Horn-E?? We would soon find out that ranger went back to the bar. Smell This would soon regret his new FRB status being the first to taste the Chinese beer. The pack followed Wentworth back up through
China Town and ran right down the middle of the street and the people said, “There go the Chicago Hashers!!” Just Faith and Just Nick seemed to be enjoying the celebrity status our hash has in China town.

Back at Tito’s the food was served and soon everyone was stuffed with soup, beef, sausage, and bread. Where can you get this for only $6? Oh and Its Too soft also tapped the beer Buddha as well. We ran our circle and called our hares in giving them an earful of CH3 appreciation. We also called for Monkey Turd to enter the circle because she was our full-fledged Chinese representative. Smell This received the Dragon head award for being the FRB, which he did wear, and I believe lost at the bar, silly Smelly. The hash also welcomed Back Door Bizzle to the hash. He is a new resident but also a past GM from the Richmond Hash, so welcome. We also let our Visitors sing us a song of Jack the necrophilia. Thanks again guys for making the Trek to Chicago we will try to visit Cincinnati and Madison in the future. Boner seemed to be following the advice of a Pink Floyd song because he was comfortably numb. The Keg was finally finished at 7 pm and ten hashers went north to drink more with our visitors. Well for those of you that missed the Chinese New Year you will have another year to wait for it Feb. 7, 2008, The Year of the RAT.

Chicago HHH #1476 Super Bowl Sunday Hash

Hare(s): Chicken Stiffer
Venue: Hidden Shamrock – 2723 N Halsted

$6 pitchers from 12-4
Afterwards we can watch the Bears beat the Colts.

As you can imaging trying to find a venue willing to give us a pitcher special the day of the Bears Super Bowl has been tough. Kathy at the Hidden Shamrock has given us $6 pitchers from 12- 4 pm. NO specials after this time. They have food and many TV’s to watch the game. We should be back to the venue around 2 pm and can have a quick circle. This will allow people time to find a prime viewing spot or take off to their Super Bowl parties.

Mismanagement Highlights

1/29/2007 – Mismanagement Highlights

Good Day Hashers,

I just wanted to take a moment of your time to report to you the state of the Chicago Hash. Currently we are experiencing a budget surplus due to a number of things the hash has done to save and make money for the hash. We have $1648 currently in our Treasury. This is due to surpluses in three areas of the Hash budget. First we have saved $100 a year by asking the other hashes in Chicago to help pay for the phone line. Second we made $150 off the 1469/Anthrax hash. This was not the hashes intention but was a result of the large number of walk-ups that came in that day. Lastly, we have made $291 off Haberdashery t-shirt sales this past year. We did go $450 over budget in the area of whistles and lanyards, but currently should have enough of these items to last the next three years, and these items can be sold to visitors as well. We also have $300 budgeted for the hash ball in a few weeks.

When I started as GM this past March we had two main concerns that the hash wanted addressed. They were a need for new haberdashery (t-shirts) and more Lanyards and Whistles for people completing 10-runs. Both of these concerns I believe have been addressed. As mentioned earlier we have plenty of whistles and lanyards, and the whistles we have are imprinted with the CH3 logo. The hash this past year decided to use the standard Chicago logo we now put on the back of every t-shirt, and we have had 4 different printings of t-shirts this year. This includes the very well received 1469/Anthrax design done by our very own C*** and Pasties. We also need to thank EZ on the ASS for his Godfather t-shirt design. The next GM needs to remember to buy Female t-shirts this year because they were bought very quickly by the harriettes, plus they are nice and tight!!! We also addressed the issue of POP this year. The hash reached a consensus that POP is under the CH3 umbrella and they must include the GM in their event planning. This would include developing a budget so CH3 can anticipate the outlay of hash cash that might be needed to support this event. We gave POP $250 in August to help cover their expenses last year.

Overall I believe we had a very successful year of hashing. I need to mention and thank both Rear Loader and It’s Too Soft for the roles that they play in keeping the Chicago hash going. Rear is instrumental in getting people to hare while It’s Too Soft is key to letting people know where the hash is and what did you people miss when you didn’t get to the hash. We also can’t forget Chicago’s favorite son Peterbilt who updates our phone line religiously. A few people have come up asking me what can they do for the hash? My answer to this questions is simple, Show up and run. The reason why we have successful hashes is because you people show up every week. I hope this year we can sustain the types of numbers that came out for the 1469/Anthrax hash and have 30-40 hashers show up every week. Is this possible? I would like to think so.

We had an excellent hash on Dec. 16. The 1469/Anthrax set the mark for the highest attended hash ever in Chicago. It was great to see numerous visitors and local hashers. It was nice to see many Chicago faces that have not hashed in a while. We also received high marks from our visitors who reported back to their kennels that they missed a hell of a time in Chicago that December weekend. I want to see the 1500th hash blow away 1469/Anthrax this year. We need to begin planning now for this event in July of 2007. This way we can get the information out to people and hopefully have numerous visitors come to Chicago. This year we will also be trying to expand our Memorial Day hash at Virgin Bangers by advertising to neighboring hashes. Maybe we can see 75-100 hashers show up instead of the usual 50 we get?

I also intend to push people to road trip more to area hashes. We have great neighbors in Indy, St. Louis, Minneapolis and yes even Wisconsin. This years events like green and red and prom dress and Spewathon in Minnesota should have at least 5 Chicago hashers in attendance. There really is no excuse not to go because we can use the Mega Bus to get to anywhere in the Midwest for almost no cost. March 17 is green dress in St. Louis, April 28th is Prom Dress in Indy, May is red dress in Waukesha, and June is spewathon in Minnesota, so hashers please pencil in these dates and GO!!!! Well thanks for your time and keep in mind we have a Hash Ball on Feb. 24 that all Chicago hashers should attend!!

We will have a short Mismanagement meeting on 2/11/07 to go over any hash business. If you have questions or ideas for the hash this would be your opportunity to voice them.

Tale of the Trail – CH3 #1474

1.21.07 HASH TRASH for #1474

The day started off right with a 1-2 inch base of snow hitting the Chicago land area
overnight giving the hash a white blanket to run through on Sunday. ITS TOO SOFT and I
took the Green line to 63rd and Cottage Grove and then walked to STUPID MANS AND
STAB’EM and SLAB’EMS place. That was a different experience I recommend everyone
should try ONCE!! The hash began soon after we arrived and SMELL THIS gave us a quick
chalk talk. Didn’t we learn from Thursdays hash that light blue powder doesn’t work well
in snow?? Within three blocks from the hash we were lost and the cops had already
stopped us to ask what the hell we were doing? To which we answered Hashing of
course!!! LIFA and STAB’EM caught wind of the trail that went through a local playground
and the hash was back on trail. We were soon lost again within two blocks but this time
CHICKEN STIFFER who was out ranging found trail behind a grade school that lead us up to
some railroad tracks. HORN-e took over the lead here and found that the trail headed
east under a viaduct.
The pack kept going east and south until we hit a check by a south side church and
the hash was regaled with some gospel music exploding through the walls of this place of
worship. SPECKIE looked off in the distance and spied McDonalds and due to his hunger
gravitated towards it, which ironically was the correct way of the trail. The hash crossed
the street and was led into Jackson Park by VIRTUALLY HUNG. A few minutes later the
pack found the first beer stop next to the pussy tree which BONER had to point out to the
whole hash. CP and JUST KELLY caught up with us here and we finished off a 12 pack in
the woods of Jackson Park. The trail craniumed east and towards the Golden Lady of the
1893 Worlds fair designed by Daniel Burnham. BLOODY THIGHS and GOLDEN kept pace
with the rest of the pack now, but at the Golden lady the trail went cold. CHIP’N DALE
went east LIFA west and CHICKEN north and 5-minutes later we all went north across the
bridge and over the lagoon John Olmstead designed back in 1892. Here we ran by the
Japanese island and cast our foot prints in pristine snow smudged only by our hares hours
earlier. The hash swept by the south end of the Museum of Science and Industry, which
was the Art Museum in 1893 Worlds Fair. The trail lead us to the 2nd beer stop at
STAB’EMs old place. We climbed four flights of stairs to an apartment that over looked the
park and enjoyed our next beer. We climbed our way down out of the place but
VIRTUALLY HUNG decided to try and leave through another door silly rabbit!!
The Hash made it back to the ON IN and plopped down in front of the TV to watch
the BEARS; MUDSUCKER and SQUEEZE THESE joined us. PARDON MY FLAPS also came
south from the north side to watch the Bears. The half ended with the BEARS up 16-7 and
we had a power circle that lasted 10 minutes. The hash followed trail back upstairs to the
TV and a BEARS win but the no the circle was not over yet. After the game we brought the
lone packer fan, SMELL THIS into the circle to degrade his sorry ass. We also had a naming
this night. JUST KELLY due to her open fly is now known as “OPEN FOR BUSINESS. See you
all next week.
