Chicago HHH Run # 1431
Post Shamrock Shuffle Hash

Hare(s): Sugar Nipples & Two Tickets to a Pair of Thighs

Venue: Huckleberries – 2514 W. Fullerton (2400 N just West of Western).

This hash has been moved back an hour to accommodate the post-race party. The winners of the 2005 “Worst Trail of the Year” get together to try and top last year’s “achievement”. Ya gotta check this out like you slow down when there’s a car wreck on the Edens expressway.

GM Erection Results 2006

Y’all missed a great hash ball! Here’s what I remember of the
results:

Best Picture: Crash (just kidding)

GM: Chicken Stiffer (be careful what you wish for), albeit Boner
made a suprising last minute rally. Mudsucker write-in votes were
also surprisingly not uncommon.

Best Trail: Anthr@x (I think the free t-shirts, the hazmat suits and
the on-in really helped).

Worst Trail: Sugar Nipples/2Tix – this came as a surprise to no one
in the Motion Picture Academy. This one won by the highest margin of
any voting category. Something for hares to aspire to in 2006!

Best On-In: VB’s Memorial Day (he needs to thank Boner for making
this an especially memorable Memorial Day)

FRB: Happy A$$ Grabber. We need to put Wauksha’s FRB Chain on this
man. That or a 15-yard construction dumpster.

FR Beeeatch: I believe it was Flying Hooters

DFL: Red Snapper? I think she is still trying to qualify for Boston.

Nonrunner: Peterbilt (but the Michelin Guide and Zagat’s give his
trails five stars each)

Bimbo: Too close to call, 2 Handed Stroke? Literally last count
these bimbos were separated by like two votes total

Wanker: scion of Chicago law enforcement, EZ On The A$$

Hash$hit: I think Meister for the shoes dealio

Hash Couple: Boner/Muff (like this was ever in doubt? Altho Mount
Me/Coffee gave them a surprisingly good run for their money)

Bill January: Boner (complete with engraved plaque). He already has
started his 2007 GM campaign with a large donation from Jack
Abramoff.

I was drinking a bit that night so feel free to post corrections.
Recently escaped ex-GM TooLoose has the official list.

Party on on,

Next Hash #1425
2nd Annual 8 Beer Stop Super Winter Shiggy Hash
2/19/2006 2:00 PM
Hare: Horn-E & Rear Loader
Venue: Catherine Chevalier Woods / Cabana Club
On East River Road and Bryn Mawr
Near the Cumberland Blue Line Station. This is the second rendition of the popular hash from last year. Hash will be in some serious shiggy and the beer stops will be in challenging locations, but will be worth the effort. We are expecting snow on Thu, Fri and Sat with a partly sunny and 27 degree Sunday, this should make for excellent winter shiggy conditions! Dress warm! On-In will be in a grove, but will then move into the Cabana Club after the circle for your comfortable drinking pleasure. I dont think the trail will be dog or stroller friendly.

Febrewary Hash Returns in Indiana!
Joint Hash w/Second City

Hare(s): EZ on the A$$ and Soar Balls
Venue: 3 Floyds Brewery – 9750 Indiana Parkway, Munster, Indiana 46321. Phone: (219) 922-3565

After a 2-year hiatus, Soar Balls, with the help of Easy on the Ass, is once again putting the brewery back in Febrewery. Wake the kids, phone the neighbors, and bring your own sorry butt out to the 3 Floyds brewery (makers of Robert the Bruce, Pride and Joy, and Alpha King, among others) and brewpub on Sunday, Feb. 12. There will be a brewery tour starting at or about 1:00 PM, followed by a little hash run, starting around 2:45 (to accommodate those taking the train), and down-downs will take place in the brewpub. If you’re a homebrewer, feel free to bring out some of your product for a little tasting.

To get to 3 Floyds, take the Edens/Kennedy/Dan Ryan/Bishop Ford freeway (aka I-94) south to the first exit in Indiana (Calumet) and proceed about 2.5 miles south to Superior (just past the Speedway station). Turn right on Superior and go about .25 mile to Indiana Parkway, turn left and proceed about .2 mile, and 3 Floyds will appear on your right.

If you’re not inclined to drive, you can catch the South Shore Line from the Millennium Park/Lower Randolph station (lower level of Randolph between Michigan Ave and the Millennium Park garage) at 11:59 AM if you’d like to hit the tour or at 2:00 PM if you’re just interested in running. Rhotan has volunteered his van to shuttle folks to and from the Hammond stop in Indiana. Trains return to the city, leaving from Hammond, at 4:20, 6:20, 8:20 and 10:20 PM.

NOTE: This is the SOUTH SHORE line, not Metra. It’s operated by the Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District. Click here for their website. Don’t get on the wrong train. I believe it will cost $4 each way.

Tale of the Trail – CH3 #1423

Super Bowl Hash

By Rear Loader

Sunday’s hash was quite the treat…….if you enjoyed death marches with no marks. It started off quite well, we headed west over to Clark that the pack was kept together very nicely with a few splits and circle jerks. The Trail then headed south on clark and turned into the parking garage of the Century Mall. We climbed up to the third floor and went to the exit door. There was an arrow there that gave you 3 choices to choose from . Virtually Hung opted for the door that went into the mall and I followed. The rest of the pack opted for the door that went down and back into the garage. We didnt see any marks and looked kind of odd running through the mall, but Virtual was sure he made the right choice! When we exited the mall, we found a well hidden arrow that pointed across the street. Cum in my Asphalt, Virtual and I followed a couple of arrows that led to a check on Diversey. Now this is where it gor bad, from this point I never saw the pack again until we made it back to the bar. I went East, Virtual went South and Cum in my Asphalt I lost track of, but it looked like she hung out at the check.

I followed a couple arrows and found nothing so I headed back to the Check, but no one was there. I thought virtual found trail and I headed south on Clark. Again, I followed two arrows and saw nothing more. I decided to go back to the check again. I decided to head North on Broadway followed one arrow, but again found nothing and decided to range East, hoping to find something. I could not hear any whistloes or “On On’s” being called, so I gave it a shot. I ran into Virtual who said he found nothing in that direction. We figured that the true trail had to go west on Diversey and sure enough it did. I briefly saw the pack ahead of me on Diversey, they finally caught up to us from that garage mess. They turned down an alley, but Virtual was sure that the trail went straight and sure enough, it did. We followed the marks to a check back down a side street. The pack caught up and they turned around, I continued to look for a hidden mark and made my way to Diversey where I ran into Mudsucker who was bragging that he was an FRB for about five minutes. When we got back to Diversey, the pack was gone. I said screw it and ranged down a side street, parallelling the back and found some arrows. I followed those with Mudsucker and Virtually hung to a check near St. Clements. We could not find any marks after this point. I saw the pack congregate near the check, but I was running around looking for marks. I ran into Learning to Blow and we decided to range to the south where we soon found marks. The marks turned left, but i kept going straight thinking that they came out nearby, boy was I wrong.

Fom this point I never really found trail again. I ended up on Fullerton and Lake Shore Drive where I found Smelly Concha who claimes that he hasnt seen the pack for a really long time. He found a check behind the museum but lost the trail from there. He headed back to the check and I decided to hit the running path to see if there were any marks. I ran north for a while and never saw another hasher again. I got to a point near diversey and never saw any marks. I decided to go west and back to the bar where there was no one. I figured that I might be able to follow the trail backwards and run into the pack, so I headed North on Broadway and the East to teh Park. The trail headed under Lake Shore and then South and kept going and going and going. I had images of the Two Tickets / Sugar Nipples Lake Shore 10K and decided to turn around and go back to the bar where I ran into Virtually Hung and Cums in my Asphalt.

At this point they told me that the beer stop was under the bridge by Diversey Harbor…..great the one place I didnt look! In anycase, we had an expedited circle due to the kick off of the super bowl and a lot of great food put out by the bar. Overall a fun time despite the fact that I got lost!
